基本介紹 Introduction
宜蘭賞鷹『熱』點位於宜蘭縣員山鄉大湖風景區南側丘陵山頂的水塔上，以猛禽會宜蘭會員『蘭鷹研究群』為主力成員，雖然自2010年秋季才開始駐站守鷹，但已觀察20種的猛禽，加上交通可達性高，經常匯聚許多觀鷹新血，因此別稱『蘭鷹學堂』。
A raptor watching hot spot in Yilan is on a tank located at a southern hill top in Dahu Scenic Area, Yuanshan Township. Most raptor observations are conducted by Yilan members, Yilan Raptor Study Group, of Raptor Research. Although raptor watching started in autumn 2010, 20 species of raptors were observed. And there are more raptor watching beginners join the group because the watchsite is reachable by car. Therefore, the watchsite is also called Yilan Raptor School.
本點位於北緯24°44’01.94”東經121°41’19.41”，海拔高度僅208公尺，地理環境屬低海拔山區延伸到平原邊際的一處峽角丘陵地，加上水塔高度，只要登高望遠，360°的全視角，可博覽蘭陽平原，天氣好時甚至遠眺雪山連蜂中的大小霸，欣賞盤踞遼闊太平洋中的龜山島。
This watchsite is located at 24°44'01.94"N, 121°41'19.41"E with the elevation of 208 m, a promontory between low elevation mountain area and Yilan Plain. You can have a 360-degree panorama overlooking Yilan Plain at the watchsite. Moreover, when the weather is nice, you can look far into the distance and see Dabajian Mountain and Xiaobajian Mountain belong to Xueshan Range and Turtle Island in the Pacific Ocean.
因轄接平原地帶，本區環境多已開發，山腳下水田民宅錯落有致，丘陵山坡林園耕地散布其間，水塔正位於大片果園環繞之中。儘管老熟林分布較低，這裡留棲性猛禽卻是好戲連連，如大冠鷲的羽色pattern顯示不同年齡的多樣貌，台灣松雀鷹經常伏擊路過的大小鳥，鳳頭蒼鷹繁殖季邊唱情歌邊飛翔，黑白灰的東方蜂鷹偶然來去匆匆，甚至神秘的林鵰把本區當成開心牧場，經常來回沿者水塔邊巡弋牠的獵物，背景襯著黃綠相間的田野風光，與山海共舞，烘托出猛禽的優雅美感。
Because of adjoining Yilan Plain, environments around the watchsite are developed. There are organized paddy fields with houses scatter over the foot of the hill and cultivated lands scatter distribute over the hill. The tank is surrounded by fruit gardens. Although old-growth forests distribute in low elevation, active resident raptors are often observed. For instance, different feather color patterns of crested serpent eagles shows their age diversity. Besra Sparrow Hawks attack other birds. Crested Goshawks fly and sing during their breeding season. Oriental Honey Buzzards pass the watchsite occasionally. Mystery Black Eagles cruise back and forth over this area for hunting.

本點需開車前往，建議路線進入宜蘭縣後行走台7線往台九甲線(往福山植物園方向的縣道)，於湖東產業道路左轉，至山腳右轉後順著道路進入往山區的湖西產業道路，上行約10-15分鐘，行經第五個交叉路口停車（位於T字轉彎的路口處），徒步走入水泥小徑，步行約5-10分鐘到交叉路口右轉，即可見到水塔。
Suggest driving cars to reach the watchsite. Take Provincial Highway No. 7 to Provincial Highway No. 9A (a county highway to Fushan Botanical Garden). Turn left at Hudong Industrial Road to the foot of the hill and then turn right to enter Huxi Industrial Road. Go up about 10-15 minutes and stop at the fifth intersection (a T-junction crossing). Walk on a cement pathway for about 5-10 minutes to an intersection and then turn right to see the tank.

適合賞鷹季節 Raptor watching seasons for raptors in Guanyinshan
每當東北季風開始吹拂，重頭戲-秋季遷徙猛禽便開鑼了！赤腹鷹、灰面鵟鷹、日本松雀鷹、北雀鷹在九、十月相繼抵達，此時多以小型鷹種為主，儘管數量或是個位數、或到破百，但只要偶爾遇到路邊的停棲版個體，就連傻瓜相機也可能爆框。接著，燕隼等隼式三兄弟一定報到，紅隼的定點覓食秀可持續到隔年春天，度冬的游隼和魚鷹一樣經常飛掠頭頂。伴隨著冷風冽冽，『蘭鷹研究群』便轉戰平原段的度冬猛禽，截至春暖花開的三、四月再度群聚山頭為北返的猛禽駐足，縱使此時數量偏稀，但春季的意外之喜總令人拍案叫絕，蒼鷹、黑翅鳶、黑鳶、鵟、東方澤鵟、花澤鵟，就連白尾海鵰都曾有紀錄。
The raptor autumn migration begins when the Northeast Monsoon blows. Chinese Goshawk, Grey-faced Buzzard, Besra and Eurasian Sparrowhawk migration occurs during September and October. Most are small raptors. Although there are only few to hundreds of raptor, it would be difficult to take one photograph of all of them. Following comes Eurasian Hobby. Common Kestrel hawking can be observed till the next spring. Peregrien Falcon and Osprey migrate in winter. As the weather getting cold, Yilan Raptor Study Group move to a plain watchsite to observe winter migratory raptors and back to the top during March and April for the spring migration. Even though few raptors migrate in spring, they surprise people. Goshawks, Black-shouldered Kite, Black Kite, buteos, Eastern Marsh-Harrier, Pied Harrier, and even White-tailed Eagle have been recorded.
